Preparatory

Empowering Young Minds: The Preparatory Stage (Grades 3-5)
The Preparatory Stage at our school, encompassing Grades 3-5, is a period of remarkable growth and academic exploration for children aged roughly 8-11 years old. Here, we build upon the foundation of curiosity and play, fostering a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom.

Building on a Strong Foundation

The curriculum in this stage seamlessly bridges the gap between the play-based approach of earlier years and the more structured learning environment of middle school.  We continue to emphasize:

Interactive Learning: Engaging activities, projects, and discussions make learning fun and relevant.
Developing Independence: Students are encouraged to take ownership of their learning, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Collaboration and Communication: Students work together on projects, presentations, and discussions, honing their communication and teamwork abilities.
A World of Subjects to Explore

Our curriculum offers a rich tapestry of subjects, including:

Literacy: Students develop strong reading, writing, and critical thinking skills through a variety of engaging texts and activities.
Mathematics: We focus on conceptual understanding and problem-solving, equipping students with a strong foundation in math.
Environmental Science : Hands-on experiments, projects, and discussions ignite a love for discovery and exploration of the world around them.
The Arts: Art, music, dance and drama allow students to express themselves creatively and develop important life skills.
Technology as a Learning Tool

We integrate technology thoughtfully into the curriculum, using it to enhance learning, encourage exploration, and foster creativity.

Preparing for the Future

By the end of the Preparatory Stage, students are well-equipped for the challenges and opportunities that await them in middle school. They are confident, independent learners with a strong foundation in core subjects, critical thinking skills, and a love for discovery.
